Modular Lighting Nomad installation with base flange
Product question customer:
"The Modular Lighting Nomad fixtures are in some cases (in the Netherlands) mounted on junction boxes. Can this be done standardly or do you need to order an additional cover plate? If so, what is the article number and URL of this product?"
In the Netherlands, you mostly need a junction box which can be covered up by the base flange (view picture below)/ In Belgium there is usually no need for a ceiling junction box and a matching base flange, the Modular Nomad is mounted directly onto the ceiling.
The base flange is available in alu (MO 80000012) or wit (MO 800000244). There exists an elevated base flange as well which consists of two parts (MO 10203005 and MO 10204005).
Down below we will illustrate in a few steps how to install the Modular Lighting Nomad on a junction box with the base flange (this is only an example setup for clarification).
Install the junction box in the ceiling or wall and provide the necessary cables.
Connect the electric cables using the necessary connectors.
Unscrew the base of the Nomad from the body.
Install the base flange on the base of the Nomad with the supplied Allen wrench. Then you mount the base flange with the Nomad base on top, over the junction box.
Screw the base flange on the junction box. (Note: the screws and plugs are not included)
You make the connection with the body of the Nomad and reconnect the Nomad body with the base.
This should be the result. Note: This is only an example setup for clarification.
