LZF is a Spanish design studio that has been bringing unique fixtures to the market since 1994. All designs for this brand are made of veneer, which is a very thin layer of wood that is cut from the tree trunk. It is a material that is regularly used for interior applications.
The unseen warm ambience radiated by wooden fixtures is one of the biggest plus points of this material with respect to other materials, such as metal or plastic. LZF excels in the niche market for wooden lamps with its beautiful designs and particularly high level of finish.
You know LZF is doing well in the lighting world because of the thirty-plus awards that the brand has received to date. The Dandelion and New Wave are only a few of the designs that have already won prizes.
LZF collaborates with a great many talented designers. For example, the Irish designer Ray Power has created different successful lamps for the brand, including the Nut and the Air. Miguel Herranz, Burkhard Dämmer and Remedios Simon have also collaborated with LZF.
The LZF assortment contains a great many pendant lamps, floor lamps, table lamps, and wall lamps. Certain designs are somewhat more understated than others, but they are all just as unique. It continues to be a special experience to see which gorgeous shapes can be made out of wood.
LZF creates appealing designs that are not only aesthetically pleasing, the brand’s lamps are also environmentally friendly. For example, the veneer used is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council, a non-profit organisation that strives to manage forests in a responsible manner.
