How and when do I install a Modular Lighting Modupoint?
The Modular Lighting Modupoint is a multifunctional connection point that can be used for ceilings, walls and floors. The Modupoint is used as a recessed power socket for a variety of Modular Lighting fixtures.
Once a Modupoint is installed, you can plug in different Modular Lighting fixtures quick and easily. The system is comparable to the jack cable with which a headphone is plugged in.
2 kinds of Modupoints
There are two kinds of Modupoints. First, there’s the regular Super Modupoint which is suited for most Modular fixtures. This is available in white, black and aluminum. Then, there’s the cone shaped Organic Modupoint which is used to install the Modular Lighting O’Leaf.
Following Modular collections include fixtures that require the Modupoint for installation: Bolster, Definitif, Drum, Duell, O’Leaf and Giro. You can find “jack” in the description of these products. View all Modular Modupoint fixtures.
The Modular Modupoint can be installed on 12V with a recessed hole of 40mm or 23mm, or on 230V with a recessed hole of 40mm. How to install each Modupoint is explained with illustrations below.

Modupoint EQ for 12V with 23mm recessed hole
For the installation of a Modular Lighting Scotty spotlight in a false ceiling that will get plastered afterwards or where you simply want to hide the screws and seams of the spotlight, you need an extra Scotty Ring for trimless finish (MO 11799430).
