The Artemide Castore was an immediate hit. This collection, designed by Michele De Lucchi and Huub Ubbens, was launched in 2003, instantly winning the hearts of many design connoisseurs. We’re also big fans of these fabulous pendant, floor and table lamps.

Castore Sospensione

A large part of the Artemide Castore range is made up of pendant lamps. Why are there so many models? Because the designers created different formats. This lets you create a cluster of multiple lamps, which is even more beautiful.

The Castore Calice is the black sheep of the family. The spherical lampshade is replaced by an oblate model. It looks like a part of it has been cut off. But that doesn’t make the fixture look any less beautiful. On the contrary…

Castore Tavolo

All Artemide Castore table lamps are given a number between 14 and 42. This figure indicates the diameter of the illuminating sphere. For example, the Castore 35 Tavolo’s diameter is 350 mm. You can combine different model sizes here too.

Another great feature of the Castore table lamps is the touch dimmer. You can very easily adjust the intensity of the light using this. Everything is neatly hidden away in the fixture, keeping the sleek design intact.

Castore Terra

And last but not least: the Artemide Castore floor lamps. These come in two different models, with diameters of 350 or 420 mm. Just like the table lamps, these standing models have a touch dimmer. This means you can use the Castore floor lamp as mood lighting in your dining or living rooms, for instance.
